GNOME
From Humanitarian FOSS Summer Institute 2009
The GNOME project is a free and open source UNIX desktop environment that includes a development platform to build applications. The GNOME Accessibility Project fosters open source application development that supports accessibility for all users regardless of physical or mental difficulties. We will be working on two projects from the GNOME Accessibility group, MouseTrap under the technical guidance of Flavio Percoco Premoli and VizAudio with technical guidance by Rohan Anil and user guidance by Bryen Yunashko.
Sub-Projects
I. VizAudio: library to make GNOME applications more accessible to deaf users.
II. MouseTrap: application that controls mouse movements with a webcam and head tracking.
