- Created the first project draft

Week 3:
- Conference call with Mr. Nicolas di Tada(our mentor from inSTEDD)
- Revision of the project draft
- Searched for a good disease ontology for the application
- Searched for an API for the ontology
- Looked over some simple problems with SVM

Week 4:
- Conference call with Mr. Nicolas di Tada
- Choose an owl API to work on: http://owlapi.sourceforge.net
- Searched the javadoc for functions to help us with our application
- Debugged the introductory examples from the API's website

Week5:
- Conference call with Mr. Nicolas di Tada
- Installed Protege OWL
- Compiled and run examples given in the Protege Programmers Guide
- Used a pizza ontology to simulate a real problem of displaying
all the toppings of a given pizza, or vice versa, displaying all the pizzas that have a certain topping

Week6:
- Conference call with Mr. Nicolas di Tada
- Display all symptoms of a given disease
- Display all diseases that have a given symptom
- Retrieve a list of all symptoms, syndromes and diseases from the ontology
- Assigning “points” to diseases based on how many symptoms indicate those diseases
- Matching up words from documents with terms in the ontology
